CANNES — Maeva Gatineau has been promoted to VP of acquisitions for Miramax Films.
Gatineau, who has been working out of Miramax’s U.K. office for the past four years, will continue to oversee European acquisitions with acquisitions veep Elizabeth Dreyer, and will report to Agnes Mentre, Miramax exec VP of acquisitions and co-productions, and Andrew Herwitz, senior veep of acquisitions.
“Maeva has been an integral part of our worldwide acquisitions team and an incredible asset to the company’s London office,” said Miramax co-chairman Harvey Weinstein. “Her contacts and good taste have been vital to our success with European films and she will continue to play an important role in her new position.”
Gatineau was instrumental in Miramax’s recent acquisitions of “Everybody Famous,” “Italian for Beginners,” “Jet Set” and the current French hit “Amelie From Monmartre.”
London-based Gatineau joined Miramax four years as an assistant to Teresa Moneo, senior veep of acquisitions and co-productions.
