CANNES — Paul Breuls’ finance and production shingle, Corsan Films, has tapped David Lamping to serve as the company’s film consultant.
The London-based Lamping heads the Distribution & Licensing Co., which consults on feature and TV sales worldwide. Corsan will handle its own sales as it launches its first slate at Cannes.
Topping Corsan’s slate is “Spoils,” which stars Linda Fiorentino and Bruce Greenwood and will begin production July 16. Also slotted for 2001 produc-tion are “Byron,” based on the life of Lord Byron; and “Outrage,” written and directed by Douglas Day Stewart.
Lamping began his career as an in-ternational distribution exec and worked for United Artists, Buena Vista and Orion Pictures. He was a founding partner of Sovereign Pictures.
