$220 mil last year, new stats say

LONDON — Internet advertising has become a bigger biz than cinema advertising in the U.K.

According to new stats from PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Internet ad sales rocketed to $220 million last year, compared to $184 million for cinema. In 1999, web ad sales were only $73 million.
