WB bows classic animation site

Cyberbiz Brief

Warner Bros. Online has launched LooneyTunes.com, a new destination solely dedicated to the studio’s library of classic animated characters, including Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote and Daffy Duck. Besides games, message boards and children’s fare, site also includes new original animated programming, the first of which is a 10-part serial, “Toon Marooned,” starring the classic Looney Tunes characters duking it out “Survivor”-style. Series and all future programming on the site will be created and produced by M.T.T. Enterprises in association with Warner Bros. Animation.

“The Looney Tunes are among Warner Bros.’ most treasured characters and this site is the perfect showcase for them,” said Warner Bros. exec VP of new media Kevin Tsujihara. “This site is also a great place for us to experiment with and incubate new programming ideas in a research and development atmosphere that’s cost and time efficient.”
