UMG, MTVi ink for Radio.Sonicnet

The MTVi Group has inked a pact to license songs from Universal Music Group for use on MTVi’s Radio.Sonicnet Webcasting service. The non-exclusive deal lets Sonicnet include tracks from UMG’s artist roster — which includes Jay-Z, Limp Bizkit and U2 — in its customizable Internet radio stations in the U.S. UMG and MTVi will also partner to promote the label group’s content on the ‘Net.
