Tech firm to produce, host, distribute online p'gramming

NEW YORK — Universal Music Group has tapped Webcasting technology firm RadioWave to produce, host and distribute online radio programming with content from several UMG labels.

UMG’s MCA Records, Motown, Verve, Cash Money, Universal Classics and Universal Records labels will be part of the pact.

The Webcast programming will be available on several U-affiliated sites. In addition, Motown Radio and Verve Radio will be syndicated over RadioWave’s own network of member sites, including Rolling Stone Radio, MSN Chat Radio, ArtistDirect Radio, RadioFreeCash and the broadcast station group of the Susquehanna Radio Corp.
