Disney inks Jabber deal for instant tech

The Walt Disney Internet Group has inked a deal with Jabber.com to license the company’s instant messaging software, content delivery, alert and multi-user gaming capabilities across its Web sites, which include Disney.com, ESPN.com, ABC.com and ABCNews.com, among others. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“As a platform to instantly distribute relevant and personalized notifications, media and content directly to visitors to our Web site, Jabber will provide an excellent user enhancement,” said Doug Parrish, chief technology officer of the Walt Disney Internet Group.
