Digital Creative Development Corp. has tapped entertainment vet Rick Mischel as chief operating officer to oversee the company’s entertainment and media initiatives. Mischel will split his time between DCDC’s New York headquarters and his Los Angeles production shingle the Mischel Co. (“Suicide Kings”). He most recently was prexy of Harvey Entertainment, ankling that post in December.
Mischel will continue his role as consultant to Harvey, as well as his advisory role at online toymaker and production venture Rumpus.com. In his new post, he reports to Ralph Sorrentino, prexy and CEO of DCDC.
Prior to joining Harvey Entertainment in 1997, Mischel was senior veep, acquisitions and production, of Live Entertainment.
DCDC acquires and invests in entertainment content companies, with a focus on broadband content delivery. The company also operates the Arthur Treacher’s and Pudgie’s Famous Chicken restaurant chains as a subsidiary, which it plans to spin off.
