Imagine's skein headed by Thomas

Don’t tell ABC the dot-com revolution is over: The Alphabet web has ordered pilot presentations for a pair of Silicon Valley-set dramas.

Net on Monday greenlit production on Imagine Television’s “Silicon Follies,” from helmer-exec producer Betty Thomas, as well as an untitled project from scribe Charles Randolph, to be produced by 20th Century Fox TV and Jersey Television.

Imagine skein is described as an hourlong sudser set in the high-tech world of Silicon Valley. Thomas will exec produce and direct the pilot; Sandy Isaac (“Jack & Jill”), Jenno Topping and Julie Glucksman are also attached as exec producers, as are Imagine’s Tony Krantz, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard.

The Randolph-penned project centers around a twentysomething femme who’s a rising star at a red-hot dot-com. When the company’s stock takes a beating, a more traditional CEO is brought in to instill some Wall Street discipline in the overly ambitious young staff.
