Co. to develop family-based TV, films, toys, publishing products
NEW YORK — Kids’ marketer Kenn Viselman, founder and former CEO of Itsy Bitsy Entertainment, has launched a new company called Kenn Viselman Presents to develop family-based TV, films, toys and publishing products.
At Itsy Bitsy, Viselman won U.S. rights to Ragdoll Prods.’ Tots TV and Teletubbies and Kay Thompson’s Eloise.
He launched his new shingle with his own coin. The L’il division will handle programs and products for preschoolers, and LOL (Laughing Out Loud) will target kids over six and their families. L’il is developing two products, Glitter Critters and L’il Pet Hospital.
Viselman was pushed out of Itsy Bitsy last summer by majority shareholder Handleman Co., the financially strapped music distribution giant. The two sides initiated arbitration proceedings several weeks ago.
