Sun inks deal with News Corp.

Sun Microsystems has inked a $100 million deal to supply News Corp. servers and storage systems for the next two years. As part of the deal to build out News Corp.’s content management operations, Sun will provide Unix servers and other products to 20th Century Fox as well as to satcasters BSkyB in Britain and Sky Mexico. Sun beat out rivals IBM and Hewlett-Packard to land the deal.
