Screen Actors Guild CEO Bob Pisano made the rounds Monday in the nation’s capital, meeting up with Motion Picture Assn. prexy-CEO Jack Valenti and with area SAG offices.
Pisano, who took the guild gig Sept. 10, also met with AFL-CIO prexy John Sweeney, whose offices are right across the street from Valenti’s.
“It’s part of an effort to get out of Hollywood and visit offices where are members are working, and listen to them,” Pisano said.
Pisano also paid visits Monday to the Baltimore/Washington SAG offices, but he scheduled no visits with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, where the anthrax clean-up continues.
Issues discussed at the various confabs included copyright protection in the digital age and runaway production.
Pisano plans to journey to the Chicago branch next week and the Miami office Nov. 14.
