R&C expands Tardio duties

Spearheaded moves into digital, streaming media

Tom Tardio, CEO of praisery Rogers & Cowan, has been named CEO of North America for parent company Weber Shandwick Worldwide. He will remain CEO of Rogers & Cowan, the agency’s specialized entertainment/lifestyle division.

Tardio will be responsible for leading the company throughout the U.S. and Canada and mobilizing partnerships with other members of the Interpublic Group of Companies, including McCann-Erickson.

Tardio joined Rogers & Cowan/Weber Shandwick in 1989 and led Rogers & Cowan into markets such as digital entertainment, streaming media, enhanced television and consumer electronic devices. Notable clients include Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and WebTV.
