Labor Council taps prexy post, veeps

Roth to fill president office for one year

HOLLYWOOD — Scott Roth, exec director of the Art Directors Guild, has been tapped prexy of the Hollywood Entertainment Labor Council for a one-year term.

Roth replaces Leonard Chassman, who retired in July as Hollywood branch exec director of the Screen Actors Guild. Roth heads the ADG, which is affiliated as Local 876 with the Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

Pamm Fair, associate exec director of the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists, was selected as 1st VP for a one-year term.

The council also tapped Chassman and seven others as VPs at large for two-year terms: Thom Davis of IATSE Local 80 (Grips); Paul Nawrocki, Writers Guild of America; Steve Dayan, Teamsters Local 399 (Drivers); Bruce Doering, IATSE Local 600 (Camera); Hal Espinosa, Local 47 (Musicians); Richard Gabriel, American Federation of Musicians; and Bryan Unger, Directors Guild of America.

The org also pledged financial support for emergency relief funds by the AFL-CIO and Entertainment Industry Foundation to help the recovery effort from last week’s terrorist attacks.
