Screen Actors Guild CEO Bob Pisano is expected to make his first major appointment as early as this week by naming a new chief financial officer.
SAG reps refused to comment on the selection, but sources indicated Pisano has narrowed his choice to a Hollywood studio exec.
Pisano, tapped Sept. 10 as SAG topper, disclosed three weeks ago he would use Korn-Ferry Intl. to review CFO candidates to replace finance director Gerald Wilson. Pisano, a former Par and MGM exec, plans to give the new appointee the titles of CFO and deputy national executive director for administration.
Wilson, who has been finance director since 1983, will retire once a replacement is found but will remain as a SAG consultant. Pisano’s moves so far include setting up a new reporting structure with a quartet of deputy national exec directors, a reorganization of the contracts department and the selection of longtime exec Clinta Dayton as national director of guild governance.
