HOLLYWOOD — Capping a months-long integration process, Imperial Entertainment Group has officially changed its name to Comerica Entertainment Group.
Earlier this year, Detroit-based Comerica acquired Los Angeles’ Imperial Bank and named entertainment-lending prexy Morgan Rector to head similar operations under Comerica. The group had retained its Imperial moniker until Monday.
“We will continue our strategy of providing timely, creative, aggressive financial solutions to independent film producers and other entertainment entrepreneurs,” Rector said in announcing the name change.
Also continuing at Comerica are senior veeps Jared Underwood and Jeffrey Colvin.
