Variety’s executive editor and international managing director Steven Gaydos will moderate two panels at the upcoming Raindance and London Film fests.
During Raindance, on Oct. 23, “International Sales: The Most Dangerous Game” will feature a group of foreign sales experts, including Fireworks Pictures prexy Daniel Diamond and Eric Christenson, exec veep, sales and distribution, Myriad Pictures. Panelists will discuss ways to make money and ways to keep from losing money — and your film. Panel will start at 11 a.m. at the Metro Cinema 1.
At the London Film Fest on Nov. 19, “Eurocinema’s Enemy at the Gates — Why Europeans Aren’t Seeing European Films,” co-sponsored by the Film Council, examines why Europeans aren’t watching their own films and what’s being done to remedy the situation. Panel, to be held at National Film Theater 2 at 4 p.m., will bring together an influential set of European producers, including Eric Abraham (fest gala “Dark Blue World”).
