Bernard Miyet, head of France’s copyright association, the Societe des Auteurs Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique, has been appointed president of the Franco-American Cultural Fund.

The fund’s U.S. partners are the DGA, the WGA and the MPA.

Miyet replaces founder Jean-Loup Tournier.

The Franco-American partnership, which has a $272,000 budget, was one of the instigators of L.A.’s five-year-old City of Lights, City of Angels French Film Festival.
