Doubleday to publish Dobbs’ story

Book to be behind-the-scenes narrative

Doubleday’s Currency imprint will publish a yet-to-be written book by CNN financial guru Lou Dobbs next fall. Executive editor Roger Scholl acquired the book and will edit it.

Dobbs, CNN is anchor and managing editor of “Lou Dobbs Moneyline,” said he will draw upon “the stories of many of the extraordinary people I have come to know, both on camera and behind the scenes.”

Book is planned as a behind-the- scenes narrative and not as a how-to. Dobbs will share his thoughts on the people he has encountered and the trends he has observed. It will also cover financial events, including the attacks on the World Trade Center.

The sale culminates on-going discussions between Dobbs and the publisher over a period of years, finally clicking with Dobbs’ s return to CNN earlier this year.
