Robert Meyers has been named to the new post of general manager of CNBC Enterprises.
Meyers, who was formerly chief operating officer and general manager of CNBC.com, will be responsible for operating a number of growing businesses within CNBC: digital channel CNBC World, CNBC Dow Jones Business Video and the Web site CNBC on MSN Money.
In addition, he’ll oversee the final development of CNBC’s new global headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., and will be the business pointman for CNBC’s golf programming.
“I’ve worked closely with Bob for more than two years and look forward to having him nurture several important early stage businesses within CNBC,” said CNBC prexy-CEO Pamela Thomas-Graham, to whom he reports.
Before taking the reins at CNBC.com, Meyers was senior VP of NBC Interactive, where he was responsible for NBC’s ventures with Microsoft.
