PRAGUE — Central European Media Enterprises (CME) continued to increase its earnings in the third quarter, according to results released Tuesday.
Broadcaster’s net revs were $21.2 million, up $1.8 million over last year. That raised 2001’s net revenues to $79.1 million, compared with $73.1 million as of Sept. 30, 2000.
Quarterly operating expenses were down $2.8 million to $12.8 million, decreasing by $12.6 million for the first three quarters to $45.3 million.
In a statement, CME prexy-CEO Fred Klinkhammer said, “CME’s third-quarter results continue to demonstrate our ability to improve our financial position in a difficult environment.”
