Claim by Starlight rejected in all points by German court

LONDON — A German court has rejected a case against VCL Medien filed by subsidiary Starlight Film Prods. this March.

Starlight put in a claim for DM10 million ($4.62 million) against Datty Ruth’s video and licensing company VCL, alleging that the entity had not lived up to its agreements. Case was rejected in all points by the court, which nevertheless ruled that VCL should pay a sum of about $162,000 to Starlight. VCL said it planned to appeal the decision.

Meanwhile, VCL said that talks with potential investors were continuing.
