BBC gives legal aid to HK exec

BBC Worldwide is giving Jeff Taylor, the Hong Kong-based exec alleged to have received $930,000 in bribes (Daily Variety, Oct. 29), legal assistance.

The BBC’s commercial arm has dropped EMS, the Hong Kong agent that may have been taking kickbacks from factories producing BBC merchandise.

Taylor, BBC Worldwide’s director of global marketing and brand development, is on bail and “adamantly denies” that he was involved in any fraud.
