Suar to act as outside p'gramming consultant

BUENOS AIRES — Artear-Canal 13 has tapped actor/producer Adrian Suar, who is behind several hit shows at the broadcaster, as an outside programming consultant.

Suar will work with the network’s new programming manager, who is expected to be named within the next 10 days, replacing Hugo di Guglielmo who ankled Sept. 21 after an 11-year career with Artear.

His production company, Pol-ka Producciones, is behind many of the hits on Canal 13, as well as on other channels. They include romantic drama “Culpables” (“The Culprits”), crime caper “22, El Loco” (“22, The Madman”) and novela “El Sodero de mi Vida” (“My Soda-Water Delivery Man”).

Suar is best known for his realistic, multi-plot dramas, and is widely credited for reviving the novela in Argentina, where traditional soaps had fallen out of fashion.
