AFTRA unites Detroit staffs

21 Metro/Shadow employees voted for representation

The American Federation of Television & Radio Artists has organized the news and sports on-air broadcasters employed by Metro/Shadow Networks in Detroit.

In an election supervised by the National Labor Relations Board, 21 employees voted for representation and 10 voted against. AFTRA reps Metro/Shadow employees in New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco, St. Louis, Seattle and San Diego.

Metro/Shadow Networks is a subsidiary of Westwood One and provides news, traffic and sports reports to radio and television stations in over 80 cities.
