MIAMI — Turner Network Television Latam has inked movie licensing deals with Warner Bros. Intl. TV Distribution and with Columbia TriStar Intl. TV Latam.
The channel has secured rights to 79 Warner Bros. pics, such as “The Fugitive” and “Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls.”
Under a three-year licensing deal with Columbia, TNT Latam will license 74 pics that will begin airing in July. They include “Flatliners,” “Awakenings” and “Look Who’s Talking.”
TNT Latam is currently available to 11.4 million pay TV homes in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Separately, Turner said its Cartoon Network Latin America was the highest-rated cable network in Argentina and in Mexico last year, citing stats from ratings agency Ibope.
