Trib station sets bilingual b’casts

'Friends,' 'Susan' episodes to use SAP feature

Tribune Broadcasting’s the WB11 has begun bilingual Spanish-English broadcasts of “Friends” and will do the same for “Suddenly Susan” beginning in October, marking the first time that the station has offered a Spanish-language audio track as an ongoing feature of regularly scheduled series.

Station will broadcast both the 7 p.m. and the 11 p.m. weekday episodes of “Friends” and Sunday’s 11 p.m. episode, as well as the 12:30 a.m. weekday broadcasts of “Suddenly Susan,” in Spanish and English using the Second Audio Program (SAP) feature on television sets.
