MIAMI — The Television Association of Programmers (TAP) Latam has published a legal guide to Latam pay TV.
“The TAP Legal Compendium: A Guide to Laws Governing the Multichannel Industry” provides an overview of the laws and regs that govern Latino pay TV.
The first edition is a compilation of pay TV regs in seven key markets: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. It details laws governing the licensing of foreign programming, regs for local cablers, content regs, advertising, contests and sweepstakes, and broadband delivery.
Future editions will add other markets and include info on customs issues, vendors and key biz contacts.
The guide is available to TAP members for $1,500 and for $2,500 for non-members. For info, contact the industry org at 301-206-2040 or at http://www.taplat.org
