St. Amos Prods. is lining up a full house of telepics now that company founder John Stamos has inked telepic projects with NBC, the Disney Channel and the Fox Family Channel.
Stamos’ deal with the Disney cabler allows the thesp to exec produce a telepic, loosely based on his childhood, about junior high school marching band “geeks.” Marc Warren (“Full House”) will co-exec produce and pen the script.
Meanwhile, Stamos and his manager, Alan Iezman of Shelter Entertainment, are developing and producing a telepic for Fox Family about a small-town clan that wins a weekend with a famous but incorrigible star athlete. Stamos will helm the project.
The duo is also developing a telepic for NBC, “The Man Who Never Forgot,” about a police officer, played by Stamos, who promises his dying partner that he will take care of his mentally challenged child.
Stamos made his exec producing debut with last February’s ABC mini “The Beach Boys, an American Family” alongside Storyline Entertainment’s Neil Meron and Craig Zadan. The trio is negotiating to reunite in a project for Stamos’ wife, Rebecca Romijn Stamos.
