Tribune Entertainment has added the Sinclair Broadcast Group to the list of clearances for the Prism Awards 2000 kudocast, the first broadcast of the four-year-old nods.
The Prisms are given out by the Entertainment Industries Council for the accurate depiction of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and addiction in movies, TV, video, music, interactive and comic book entertainment. The event was taped in March at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The Sinclair deal brings the special’s clearance level to 71% of the United States. The hour-long special has already been cleared on the Tribune stations, including WPIX New York, KTLA Los Angeles and WGN Chicago. Markets cleared by the Sinclair pact include St. Louis; Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburgh; Buffalo, N.Y.; and Milwaukee.
