SABC reduces sat nets

World Brief

South African pubcaster SABC is revamping its two 24-hour satellite channels and has relaunched them as part of the bouquet offered on the DStv service of satellite operator Multichoice.

The two channels, SABC Africa News and entertainment web Africa 2 Africa (A2A), are now being broadcast to southern, central, east and west Africa.

SABC acting group chief exec Cecilia Khuzwayo said the relaunch of the channels aims to “depict Africa in a modern but positive manner, bringing news stories and entertainment about Africa by Africans.”
