Rollins rolls into Fox roles

Singer steps into TV for first time in 'Night Vision'

Singer and monologist Henry Rollins has been tapped to host the upcoming Fox anthology thriller “Night Visions.”

New gig reps Rollins’ first regular foray into television. The former Black Flag frontman and current leader of Rollins Band has hosted episodes of VH1’s “The List” and appeared on series such as Comedy Central’s “Turn Ben Stein On.”

Rollins has also made numerous TV appearances as a performer.

Besides his music career, Rollins is well-known for his edgy, observational spoken-word performances.

He’s also had roles in such features as “Jack Frost,” “Lost Highway” and “Johnny Mnemonic.”

Stepping into the Rod Serling-a-la-“Twilight Zone” role, Rollins will be the only regular face seen on “Night Visions.” The Warner Bros. series will also feature guest stints by actors such as Aidan Quinn and Bridget Fonda.

Dan Angel and Billy Brown are the creators-exec producers. Show airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on Fox beginning Oct. 6.
