HOLLYWOOD — The latest installment of Saban Entertainment’s 10-year-old kids’ franchise, “Power Rangers in Space,” has just made its debut on Mexico’s top broadcaster Televisa in a weekend early fringe timeslot.
The launch coincides with debuts on Brazil’s Globo and on Columbia’s RCN. The series can also be seen pan-regionally in Latin America in over 11 million homes on the Fox Kids Network.
In Argentina the action series is already tops with youngsters age 4-11, securing a 26% market share on Fox Kids.
The rollout in Mexico of “Power Rangers in Space” is supported by a licensing and merchandising campaign by Mattel, which is introducing a new line of space-age toys.
