HOLLYWOOD — Twentieth Television, Fox’s syndication arm, has closed deals with TV stations representing coverage of more than 70% of the country to air the off-net reruns of “The Practice” during its weekend broadcast syndication window, beginning in fall 2001.
The ABC drama is to be stripped Monday through Friday on Fox cable network FX at the same time.
The new station deals include ABC O&Os KABC Los Angeles, WPVI Philadelphia, KTRK Houston and WTVD Raleigh, N.C.,
Other stations newly on board are ABC affils WCVB Boston, WPAE Pittsburgh, WFAA Dallas, WJLA Washington, D.C., KSTP Minneapolis and WTNH Hartford, Conn.; CBS affil WGNX Atlanta; Fox affil WSVN Miami; and NBC affil KSDK St. Louis.
Deals with stations in New York and Chicago, the nation’s largest and third largest markets, respectively, remain in the works.
