Teuton co. advised not to start station
BERLIN — Germany’s Kinowelt Medien has scrapped plans to starts its own analog television station.
A company working committee charged with developing new marketing options for the group ruled against the plans, which had spooked investors when announced early this year. Analysts had described the move as overly costly and risky.
Company said, however, that the decision would not affect its 10% stake in state satellite channel B.TV-Television and that Kinowelt is developing programming for B.TV.
