'Today' to b'cast from Vietnam

“Today” is going to Vietnam.

NBC News’ “Today” co-anchor Matt Lauer will broadcast live from Vietnam on Friday to mark the 25th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam war. Lauer will report live from Ho Chi Minh City. Among his guests are former P.O.W. and U.S. Senator John McCain, who will take Lauer on a tour of the “Hanpi Hilton.” the prison where he was held.

Also on the road is ABC News’ “Good Morning America,” which will originate live from Chicago on Friday. Dubbed “GMA’s Friday Breakaway,” the broadcast, co-anchored by Charles Gibson and Diane Sawyer, will feature live interviews, including Windy City native Oprah Winfrey.
