Jenny McCarthy has been tapped to star in the untitled Fox comedy pilot from creator Nancy Pimental.
McCarthy stars as one of three sassy, twentysomething friends in the ensemble project, which comes from the Littlefield Co. in association with 20th Century Fox TV and NBC Studios.
The Playboy playmate-turned-MTV star most recently appeared in the films “Scream 3” and “Diamonds.”
McCarthy first gained notice as co-host of the MTV gamer “Singled Out.” She later toplined her own MTV sketch comedy series before starring in the short-lived NBC sitcom “Jenny,” from Paramount Network Television and MTV Prods in 1996.
Marco Pennette (“Caroline in the City”) and Warren Littlefield exec produce the project, while Pimental (“South Park”) co-exec produces.
McCarthy is repped by Talent Entertainment Group’s Erwin More, Brian Medavoy and Jill Littman.
