Langton ‘Up’ for Caron, Fox skein

Laffer to go into production before potential strike

HOLLYWOOD — Brooke Langton has been tapped to star in the tentatively titled Glenn Gordon Caron series “When I Grow Up” for Fox.

The one-hour romantic comedy, from Paramount Network Television, will go into production shortly to complete its 13-episode order before the start of potential strikes by writers and actors (Daily Variety, Sept. 11).

Langton (“The Replacements,” “Melrose Place”) stars as twentysomething Elizabeth Gillcrest, whose life is turned upside down when her older husband discovers she is having an affair.

Langton’s character ends up at a “Tempt-a-Mate” firm working with the man she had the affair with.

Langton most recently appeared as Keanu Reeves’ love interest in football feature “The Replacements.” She also starred opposite Alicia Witt and Ivan Sergei in “Playing Mona Lisa.”

Other feature credits include the John Hughes film “Reach the Rock,” the Jon Favreau vehicle “Swingers” and “Ink” and “Mixed Signals.”

Langton’s TV credits include the starring role on USA Networks’ small screen version of “The Net.”
