LONDON — The ITV network has skedded a first-ever celebrity version of “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire” in its spring and summer programming lineup.
The web would not divulge who is taking part in the one-hour, one-timeshow — from which any winnings will go to charity — but did hint at a who’s who of Brit celebs, some of whom likely will be phoning their famous friends.
The program will be the primetime climax of “ITV’s Day of Promise” on May 1, an initiative intended to raise social awareness in the U.K.
On the day, ITV’s programming will be linked by live coverage focusing on good deeds — large and small — from around the country. An ITV spokesperson described the event as “good corporate citizenship.”
