Show was airing, often latenight, on KCBS
“Inside Edition” has found a new Los Angeles home — and a decent timeslot — on KCAL.
The King World-produced newsmagazine has recently been airing on KCBS, often in latenight slots. KCAL will air the show weekdays at 3 p.m. as a lead-in to the station’s early-afternoon newscast. The move becomes effective Tuesday.
“Inside Edition” is no stranger to KCAL, having aired on the station from 1989 until 1991 and again from 1992 until 1997.
“We are very pleased to have ‘Inside Edition’ back on KCAL,” said Dan Corsini, the station’s senior veep and general manager. “The series has a history of strong performance on our station.”
“Inside Edition” begins its 13th season this month and now ranks as the longest-running newsmag in syndication. Deborah Norville is the anchor.
