NEW YORK — The Game Show Network, which has grown by 2.1 million subscribers in the last three months, will engineer its first upfront presentation to the Madison Avenue buying community, taking over the Hudson Theater in midtown Manhattan on the evening of April 11.
Now reaching a total of 24 million subscribers, the Game Show Network has hired Alan Thicke to emcee the upfront celebration. Joining him will be such familiar gameshow hosts as Bob Eubanks, Pat Sajak and, as host of the network’s newest original program “Hollywood Showdown,” Todd Newton. Thicke presides over the network’s “All New 3’s a Crowd.”
As part of the upfront presentation, the network has induced executives from six ad agencies — Omnicom, Mediavest, Mediacom, Universal McCann, Carat USA and True North Media — to compete onstage in a Q&A game. Members of the audience will be able to play along.
Sony Pictures Entertainment owns the Game Show Network.
