Anthony Edwards, who plays Dr. Mark Greene on “ER,” will produce “My Louisiana Sky,” an original movie for Showtime.
Another actor who plays a doctor on television, Adam Arkin of “Chicago Hope,” has signed to direct “Louisiana,” his first made-for after directing episodes of “Chicago Hope” and “Northern Exposure.”
Movie comes from the novel by Kimberly Willis Holt, adapted by Anna Sandor. Casting will be announced shortly for an August start date.
Aviator Films, the company operated by Edwards and his partner Dante Di Loreto, will produce “Louisiana” along with Hyperion Studios’ Tom Wilhite and Willard Carroll.
