DGA to honor Rindenow

Associate director to receive Schaffner Award

The Directors Guild of America has named longtime KCBS-TV associate director/stage manager Scott L. Rindenow the recipient of this year’s Franklin J. Schaffner Achievement Award.

The honor, to be presented March 11 at the 52nd annual DGA Awards at the Century Plaza Hotel, is given to recognize service to the industry and the guild by an associate director or stage manager.

A DGA member since 1979, Rindenow has been at KCBS since 1980, winning four Emmy Awards, five Golden Mike Awards and an Associated Press Award. Prior to joining the station, he was an independent producer and director for his own company, SLR Prods.

Rindenow has been a member of the Associate Directors/Stage Managers/Production Associates Council since 1985.
