'Millionaire' producer to speak
HOLLYWOOD — Broadcast TV marketing confab Promax/BDA has set “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” exec producer Michael Davies as its keynote speaker for this year’s annual edition to be held in New Orleans in June.
Davies will address the “Millionaire” phenomenon June 14, kicking off the four-day conference and exhibition.
Pam Masters, director of broadcasting and presentation for the BBC, will receive the organization’s Pinnacle Award at a June 16 honors ceremony. Promax bestows the trophy upon individuals who have made “indelible imprints on the profession, are at the height of their careers and who continue to break new ground.”
