Court TV taps Dershowitz

Legal eagle to anchor trial coverage

NEW YORK — Alan Dershowitz will join Court TV as an anchor, beginning in September.

The cable net, which will unveil its new programming and marketing plans at an upfront presentation for advertisers today in New York, will rely on Dershowitz to anchor Court TV’s Friday afternoon trial coverage, commenting on a spectrum of legal issues.

Dershowitz — who wrote the bestselling book “Reversal of Fortune” based on his experience defending socialite Claus von Bulow in a murder case — will appear on the cabler through June 2001, while he is on sabbatical from his job as a Harvard University Law School professor.
