Henry upped in creative services, Glass tapped in development
As part of the restructuring of operations at Disney’s Buena Vista Television and newly formed Buena Vista Prods., the company has named two new veeps.
Mike Henry has been upped from exec director of creative services for BVTV to VP, and Karen Glass has been named VP of development for newly formed BVP (Daily Variety, Sept. 8).
Henry served six months as exec director. As veep, he assumes responsibility for the creative development of trade and consumer ad campaigns for the syndicated programming, movie packages and pay per view products distribbed by BVTV, the domestic TV distribution division of the Walt Disney Co.
Prior to joining BVTV, he served as an ad/promo consultant to such clients as Fox Broadcasting and CBS.
Glass and her team will be involved with creative development of programming for firstrun syndie, cable and network for BVP.
She comes to the company after having served as producer and exec producer on a number of reality, talk, variety and comedy projects, including Comedy Central’s “Women Aloud” and the “Donny & Marie” pilot for Columbia TriStar TV Distribution.
In addition, Sheila Rosenbaum joins BVP as director of development, reporting to Glass. Rosenbaum has served as producer on several Studios USA and Telepictures Prods. syndie shows and worked in current programming and development at John Wells Prods. and Fox Broadcasting.
