Bulldog journo Jerry Nachman and former network exec Marilyn Wilson have been tapped as exec producers of ABC’s latenight talker “Politically Incorrect.”
Nachman and Wilson replace Doug Wilson, who was named exec producer of the skein barely six months ago. ABC said Wilson was leaving to “pursue other ventures.”
Doug Wilson replaced Scott Carter, who left “PI” for a gig at the Oxygen cabler.
“We are delighted that Jerry and Marilyn have agreed to lead ‘PI’ in its fourth season on ABC,” said ABC Entertainment veep of alternative series and specs Andrea Wong. “I am confident they will provide strong leadership and a fresh perspective.”
Nachman is a veteran print and broadcast journo, with stints as editor in chief of the New York Post and news topper at Gotham’s WCBS and WNBC among the highlights of his resume. He’s also a former staff writer for “PI” ; most recently he hosted the KCET talker “Life and Times.”
Wilson most recently launched and served as an exec producer of the syndie talker “Donnie and Marie” as part of an overall deal with Col TriStar Television. Before that she was senior VP of reality, specials and latenight for ABC.
