A&E taps Mohamad sr. marketing veep

Exec responsible for 'Biography,' 'Hornblower,' 'Crossing' campaigns

A&E Network has upped Michael Mohamad to senior VP of marketing.

He will oversee all branding for the net, including the implementation of marketing strategies and merchandising.

Previously VP of consumer and on-air marketing, Mohamad had been responsible for the promotional campaigns of “Biography”, “Horatio Hornblower” and “The Crossing.”

Prior to working at A&E, Mohamad was prexy of MSM Advertising, and VP and creative director of Korman Mohamad Korman, producing advertising and sales promotion for clients such as Multimedia Entertainment, NBC Radio and MCA TV.

He was also veep and creative director at Shapiro, Budrow & Associates, overseeing the advertising campaigns for Hearst/ABC Cable Networks, and VP of advertising, promotion and design at NBC, reintroducing the Peacock as the network’s identification symbol.
