A&E has bought the reruns of Twentieth TV’s “Murder One” courtroom-drama series produced by Stephen Bochco, which developed a cult following during its season and a half on ABC between 1995 and 1997.
The series has sat in Twentieth’s vaults since ABC canceled it in January 1997. (ABC burned off the final episodes as a three-part miniseries between May 25 and May 29, 1997.) Twentieth accumulated a total of 41 hours of “Murder One” over the two years.
A&E will run “Murder One” as a weekly hour-long series Thursday at 9 p.m., beginning June 22. The network will even get to run an episode never seen before, on Aug. 10.
The first 23 hours focus on one murder case. The actors include Stanley Tucci, Daniel Benzali, Vanessa Williams and Jason Gedrick.
