Ethel Crutcher

Ethel Crutcher, business affairs director for the Motion Picture Sound Editors for 20 years, died Aug. 23 of natural causes at USC University Hospital in Los Angeles. She was 79.

Crutcher was married for 50 years to Norval Crutcher, a retired film editor.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Sam, a sound editor, a daughter and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the North Hollywood Church of Religious Science, 6161 Whitsett Ave., North Hollywood, (818) 762-7566.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations be sent to the Chandler Lodge Foundation, 11455 Chandler Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601, (818) 766-4534.
